NANCY CONSTANDELIA

We are excited to introduce artist Nancy Constandelia, who will be creating a series of paintings exclusive only to Japhet Bates Collective.

Nancy’s practice delves deeply into the concept of time. Her paintings can, and often are described as containers of time or documents of duration.

She plays with the tension between stillness and motion, between the permanence of the physical material and the impermanence of fleeting moments. Through the multilayering of thin veils of paint, she utilizes light and translucent hues to capture time as a tangible and immersive experience that resonates with the viewer on a deeply emotional and intellectual level.

Nancy Constandelia is an artist based in Sydney Australia. She has obtained a Masters of Fine Arts from UNSW College of Fine Arts,Sydney, with an Award for Excellence in Painting.

Constandelia has exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions both in Australia and internationally. She has also been a finalist and recipient of many prestigious art awards and residencies including Cite Internationale des Arts, Paris, France and Bundanon Trust, NSW.

Constandelia’s works have been acquired by international private collections including the Stevenson Collection and Mindaroo Foundation.
